Heritage Lanka Nature Products (Private) Limited commenced operations in the year 2010 as a family-owned small scale business equipped with the initial machinery requirement. The visionary leader who created and currently who is behind the brand is the Owner/Founder of Heritage – Peter Jayatilake.

Heritage Lanka Nature Products (Private) Limited commenced operations in the year 2010 as a family-owned small scale business equipped with the initial machinery requirement. The visionary leader who created and currently who is behind the brand is the Owner/Founder of Heritage – Peter Jayatilake.

The initial production premise was located in the heart of the coconut triangle – Negombo, Sri Lanka. It was 4000 sqft premise which had the minimal equipment and machinery for production of coconut productions. We are involved in the full process of production, from sourcing from our own organic farms to production until final product is been exported to our end consumer. Our strategic location has allowed us to source the finest coconuts produced through organic farming networks which optimizes natural inputs to obtain the best yield. Starting this visionary leadership as a small scale business the idea was to expand into a large scale manufacturing facility. With this expansion strategy, the true passion and belief of our founder was to make movement to healthy lifestyles across the globe and in doing so to help connect Sri Lanka as a nation with the world through a heritage of foods. He wanted to combine his passion to a philosophy that evolved around health and wellness (well-being) helping to uplift the quality of life.

The best the founder decided and was passionate towards is ‘coconut’ – the miracle product of Sri Lanka which is consumed in almost every household in Sri Lanka. It is the ingredient that is used in every home for cooking and culinary dishes. Coconut is an ingredient that is grown in the tropical countries and the taste and the richness of coconut is loved by many all over the world.

Although the founder imagined and started the business, as a small scale start up initially and commenced operations with the production of Virgin coconut oil as our core product, this was expanded to Desiccated coconut, coconut flour and coconut sugar products. As timeline grew by, Heritage became a major export brand to the China market catching up demand for the rest of the coconut products range such as, Desiccated coconut to coconut flour and to many. Soon thereafter, Heritage started expanding its operations and in the year 2021, we moved to a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with an expanded space of 30,000 square foot premise as the headquarters based in Katana, Sri Lanka. We at Heritage combines our passion for innovation with a philosophy that has evolved around health and wellness. Our vision towards fueling health and wellness across the globe has expanded its wings to over 40 countries over the world in making impact through our products with the best Sri Lanka has to offer.

Export Markets

Exporting natural goodness to over 40 countries including UK, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, USA, Russia, Bulgaria, Chile, Bolivia, South Africa, Angola, China, Malaysia, Oman, Bangladesh and many others.
With this step by step expansion strategy of Heritage, our growth strategy was to tap markets on retail spaces with a wider portfolio of products. Hence, we expanded our product range from coconut based products that are core to other value added products, and also to categories such as spices, snacks with a flavored range, and to superfoods and many more. This brought in many new clientele and market entry to overseas markets where we could enter. Now at Heritage, we do have a range of products that consists of over 50 products that is exported internationally to our buyers. 47% of the contribution to the business is generated from the Asian region while, 33% from European region and 20% from other countries.
We strongly believe that all these efforts made today are directed towards our future outlook for Heritage in enabling people with healthy livelihoods together with sustainable and healthy life choices. With all what we do, as much as innovation we believe that sustainability in the long term makes a positive difference in the way we work and how we do business (ethical business). Heritage is a space where innovation and sustainability is intertwined and delivered to the world.
